The Illusion of Time

Today is the day we “fall back” into standard time. It’s days like today that help us realize how arbitrary time is. Time is a construct we create to give order to a concept we can’t quite fathom—eternity. In eternity, all things happen simultaneously: past, present, and future are all one just as we are all One with God and the Universe..

87482710In eternity, love is what matters because it remains in all—past, present, future—and connects all. Love is what makes us whole. God, the author of Love and all that is, already sees us as whole because in eternity God has read the “final chapter” (which presumes an end that, of course, doesn’t exist).

On this day focused on the illusion of time, take a moment to imagine that chapter that God sees now, the chapter in which you are a fully realized version of yourself, capable of accessing all your gifts and strengths and of loving yourself and others completely. Take a moment to step out of the illusion of time to live in the eternal now.
